About Diane Sage
When Diane first began to practice Yoga it captured her imagination. Her practice of Yoga had a strong influence on the choices she made in life; old habits fell away, new habits were life sustaining.
While looking for a new career, the main criteria was to do something she enjoyed. Wanting to share her passion for Yoga was a natural choice. Yoga was a way to bring together all the strands of her life and the way in which she lives.
Initially, Diane worked closely with Ruth White (taught by BKS Iyengar). In 2001, as part of her teacher training, she managed and taught Yoga at Fetcham Yoga Centre. Diane completed her teacher training with Ruth in 2002. She also taught for Ruth on some of her residential retreats. Ruth introduced Diane to the Ishaya monks and was initiated into meditation with them.
Diane also now holds a teaching diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga with a pregnancy module. She had seen many of her students safely through their pregnancies and felt she could offer more to these ladies. In 2008 Diane qualified with Wendy Teasdill to teach classes specifically for pregnancy. It was a natural progression to move onto post-natal mother and baby classes.
Diane has attended many retreats and workshops held by well respected teachers; Dona Holleman, Maxine Tobias, Richard Ward, Ali Dhasti, Aadil Palkavala, John Evans, Sharon Gannon & David Life, Beryl Bender Birch, Liz Lark, Simon Low & Swami Nishchlananda at the Mandala Ashram. She continues to explore the many different aspects of yoga as part of her ongoing training.
