Baby Yoga

These classes help to promote healing after pregnancy and the rigours of birth. Particular attention is paid to the pelvic floor, spine and shoulders.

Week by week we gradually build strength in the body. As so much time is spent holding and feeding your newborn, we open the shoulders and chest and strengthen the spine.

We practice some pranayama (breath work). You will learn how to be comfortable when feeding, how to come up to standing while holding your little one and how to carry your baby confidently using one arm – this will enable you to do things while holding baby.

We give the babies a little stretch, have some fun, sing a few rhymes and relax. The classes will help you to gain confidence, strength and flexibility both physically and mentally. Twins are also welcome.

This class is great fun and the babies soon begin to chuckle when we do their favourite sequences!

You will need to a yoga mat and a thick blanket/quilt for baby to lay on.
