Pregnancy Yoga Classes: Week 14 to Birth

Dates: Tuesdays 4, 11, 18, 25 January, 1, 8 February, please advise if interested
Time: 7.45 pm until 8.45 pm

Course Cost: £78 for the 6 week course, at the hall, live zoom sessions or download

The cost is for your place on the course.  Sorry I do not carry missed sessions over to the next term.  If the course is not full you may pay as you go £15 per session.

Partners Workshop

From time to time I hold an evening workshop which is a great opportunity for your partners to become involved too. We will prepare for birth practicing birthing positions, breathing techniques and your partner will learn how to support you during labour.

Ante-Natal Classes

Ante-natal Yoga classes are a safe way to exercise during pregnancy.

These classes focus primarily on opening the body in preparation for birth, breathing and positions for the 1st and 2nd stages of labour. Advice is given on dealing with the side-effects of pregnancy.

By practicing yoga postures during pregnancy, your body will naturally be able to adopt these positions during labour, using gravity to assist the process.

Unfortunately, today birth is looked upon more as a medical procedure; yoga empowers you to be active during birth. Many positions are practiced to encourage optimum foetal position; getting your baby in a good position for birthing. At the end of each session you should feel very relaxed, less anxious and you may even get a better nights sleep than usual.

You will need a non-slip yoga mat, a cushion or pillow and a burst resistant birthing/exercise ball. See the Yoga Equipment page for price of mats.

If a place is available, you may begin mid term. If your baby is due before the end of the course, you may pay for the classes up to 2 weeks before your due date and weekly after then til delivery.
